With the increased number of cases in our area, we feel it is important for us to return to a more restricted schedule and protocol for the near future. Caring for you has always been our top priority, and we now feel changes are needed to continue to do this in a safe and productive manner. To do this, we feel it is important to limit the number of people in the office at any given time.
If you have had recent and direct contact with a COVID-19 positive person or are showing symptoms such as fever, shortness of breath, cough, etc, or feel sick in ANY way, we ask you to avoid entering our office. We can reschedule your exam for a later time.
Beginning on Monday November 23rd, 2020 we will implement the following changes to compliment our already strong protocols:
1.) Our schedule will be reduced to spread patients out more. If you already have an appointment scheduled, we will maintain that. However any newly scheduled patients will be spread out more to maintain distancing.
2.) The outside door will be locked. Upon arrival, call, or preferably text us, at 724-941-3456. We will text you a brief symptom check and then let you know when you can come to the door to be let in. Please be patient if you need to wait longer in your car. Once inside we will be ready to take care of you!
3.) At the door, we will check your temperature and offer you hand sanitizer, or you may head directly to the restroom to wash your hands.
4.) Masks must be worn at all times. If you do not have one, we can provide one.
5.) Histories should continue to be done online at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
6.) A maximum of one person should accompany each patient into the office.
7.) If you are looking at new glasses, please do not handle any frames unless Janet or Jason are helping you. Any frame that is touched, needs to be set aside and sanitized prior to being returned to the board.
8.) When ordering contact lenses, we continue to encourage home delivery.
9.) Payment of bills can be done in a contactless manner through your cell phone. If you wish to do this, just ask when checking out.
We cannot overstate how much we appreciate your trust in us. It is because of this that we feel it is necessary to make these changes. We thank you for your understanding. We continue to smile under our masks and look forward to a time we can see you smile back.
