With the blessing of the CDC, State Health Department and American Optometric Association, we are continuing our second week of seeing non-emergent patients. With an abundance of caution, we are continuing to implement measures to maintain a COVID-19 free office. Below is a partial list of some of those measures including what you need to be aware of prior to your visit.
Office hours beginning May 11th will return to normal.
We have thoroughly reviewed our policies regarding cleansing equipment and other sources of potential contamination and will diligently be sanitizing all areas frequently.
If you have had direct contact with a COVID-19 positive person or are showing symptoms such as fever, shortness of breath, dry cough, etc, we ask you to avoid entering our office. We can reschedule your exam for a later time.
For the month of May and especially the first two weeks, our schedule is extremely limited. We are spacing exam appointments out and scheduling optical appointments so that we can control the number of people in the office at the same time. This also allows us time to thoroughly clean all areas of possible contamination between appointments.
We encourage contact lens orders to be shipped directly to you. If you need them shipped to our office, they will continue to be dispensed in the parking lot. Call or text when you arrive and we will bring them out to you.
As stated above, optical appointments to order glasses, pick up glasses, or have glasses adjusted/repaired, are now by appointment only. Please call or text our office to schedule this.
All frames have been sanitized. After they are touched or tried on, they will be sanitized again before anyone else is able to touch them or try them on.
We ask that all patients limit people accompanying them into the office to one person at most.
When possible, we ask that patients with scheduled exams, complete as much paperwork as possible on-line at least 24 hours prior to their appointment. Instructions will be texted and emailed separately.
Upon arriving, our outside door will be locked. Please wait in your car and call or text and we will open the door for you.
Masks will be worn by all office staff and patients while in the office. If you do not have one, we will provide one for you.
When first entering the office, we request you use the hand sanitizing station (where the coffee used to be), or you can proceed directly to the bathroom to wash your hands.
During your visit, rest assured we are doing everything possible to avoid any exposure to any infectious disease while continuing to provide the highest quality exam.
We have implemented a touchless payment process. At checkout, you will have the option for us to text you a payment request which you can then handle from your cell phone.
When leaving the office, paper towels will be provided to use to prevent touching the door handle and a trash can just outside the door for disposal.
As a reminder, we are always available for emergency eye care.
We thank you for your cooperation during these trying times. We also thank you for your trust in us for your eye care and appreciate your support of our family business. We look forward to seeing you soon!
We pray that you and your family are happy and healthy.
